The Mangareva Pearl Trail, an event organized by the AS Coureurs Des Gambier – ASCDG in partnership with the commune of Gambier, the Youth Sports Committee of Rikitea / Gambier under the aegis of the Athletics Federation of French Polynesia. The Mangareva Pearl Trail is a running race in the mountains, on the Mangareva road and path. ASCDG offers 2 courses: a long and a shorter one. ASCDG is also in full preparation to create new trails and to maintain the existing hiking trails on the island of Mangareva. The new trails will allow those from outside and even the people of Mangareva to discover the nooks and crannies of Mangareva that are currently difficult to access.
For 2021 ASCDG will do everything possible to attract more people than in 2019 because the edition was cancelled due to the COVID19 health crisis. ASCDG will offer different packages for sale starting in mid-February 2021. Several packages will therefore be put on sale. Regarding the exact amounts for packages 1 and 4, ASCDG is waiting for a proposal for the price of the group airfare via Air Tahiti which will be known in 2021 :
– Package 1: (all inclusive): round-trip airfare, accommodation and meals morning, noon and evening, 2 water packs, race, insurance, event T-shirt, Finisher medal on arrival and the walk on the lagoon on Monday.
– Package 2: (without plane ticket): accommodation and meals morning, noon and evening, 2 packs of water, race, insurance, event t-shirt, Finisher medal on arrival and the walk on the lagoon on Monday.
